Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Portepees

(Portepees). A mixed lot of portepees, including:

1. A Heer NCO’s sword portepee, consisting of a stylized silver aluminum wire acorn with a green cupule, suspended from a stem of identical construction, in turn descending from a green threaded corn trimmed with machine-embroidered silver aluminum wire tresses, unmarked, measuring 42 cm in length, in near mint condition.

2. A Heer 7. Kompanie porepee, consisting of a stylized silver-grey threaded acorn topped by a yellow cupule, suspended from a red threaded stem, in turn descending from a slate-grey embroidered corn, unmarked, measuring 42 cm in length, demonstrating minor material fatigue, in extremely fine condition.

3. An Ordnungspolizei sword portepee, consisting of a stylized silver aluminum wire acorn, suspended from a black rayon cord bearing silver aluminum wire and red threaded tresses, unmarked, measuring 24 cm in length as presented, in unissued and near mint condition.

4. A Feuerschutzpolizei bayonet tresse, consisting of a stylized silver aluminum wire and carmine threaded acorn, suspended from a black leather cord bearing machine-embroidered silver aluminum tresses, unmarked, measuring 44 cm in length, demonstrating minor material fatigue to the leather cord, in near extremely fine condition.

5. A Deutsches Rotes Kreuz (German Red Cross/DRK) hewer portepee, consisting of a stylized silver aluminum wire and blue threaded acorns, suspended from a silver aluminum wire cord trimmed with machine-embroidered blue tresses, unmarked, measuring 38.5 cm in length, in extremely fine condition.
