Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot Of Items

(Insignien, Auszeichnungen, und Münzen). A mixed lot of five items, including:

1. An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”), above a crossed sword and laurel branch, topped by a Stahlhelm and stick grenade, unmarked, measuring 35.66 mm (w) x 44.56 mm (h), weighing 20.7 grams, with loss of finish evident throughout, in very fine condition.

2. A Kriegsmarine EM/NCO’s tropical breast eagle, constructed of brown rayon, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered golden-brown Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, unmarked, measuring 134 mm (w) x 58 mm (h), in unissued and near mint condition.

3. An Ordnungspolizei visor cap insignia, constructed of aluminum, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse retaining both attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 55 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

4. A 1938 50 Reichsmark coin, constructed of silver, measuring 39.92 mm in diameter, weighing 28.5 grams, in extremely fine condition.

5. A 1937 2 Reichsmark coin, constructed of a silver alloy, measuring 25.15 mm in diameter, weighing 7.7 grams, in extremely fine condition.
