Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Insignia

(Insignien). A mixed lot of insignia, including:

1 A Heer Flak/Artillery Observation Battalion Oberfeldwebel shoulder strap, constructed of dark green wool with a field-grey wool underlay, trimmed with red piping, pinned with a cypher flanked by two pips, and bearing a reverse integral strap perforated with a reinforced buttonhole, unmarked, measuring 48 mm (w) x 115 mm (l), demonstrating minor material fatigue, in near extremely fine condition.

2. A Heer Flak/Artillery Oberfeldwebel shoulder strap, constructed of dark green wool, trimmed with red piping, pinned with two pips, and bearing a reverse integral strap perforated with a reinforced buttonhole, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 100 mm (l), demonstrating minor material fatigue, in near extremely fine condition.

3. A Heer Medical Major shoulder board, constructed of dark blue wool with a card stock core, topped by four bands of interwoven silver aluminum, and pinned with a gilded cypher, unmarked, measuring 36 mm (w) x 110 mm (l), demonstrating moderate material fatigue, in better than very fine condition.

4. A Kyffhäuserbund armband, constructed of black wool, the obverse bearing a machine-embroidered insignia flanked by a cap badge which has been applied post-manufacture, unmarked, measuring 185 mm (w) x 80 mm (h), demonstrating minor mothing and material fatigue throughout the cloth elements with oxidation of the cap badge, an owner-customized example in very fine condition.
