A mixed lot of four Third Reich German service awards, consisting of:
1. A Civil Service 25 Year Faithful Service Award, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on a loop for suspension from its correct modern replacement ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central black enameled swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 42.1 mm (w) x 46.7 mm (l), weighing 21.04 grams.
2. A War Merit Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its correct modern replacement ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and a central wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR KRIEGSVERDIENST 1939” (“FOR WAR MERIT 1939”), unmarked, measuring 32.3 mm in diameter, weighing 12.8 grams.
3. A West Wall Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a double-sided oval oak leaf wreath, joined together a the top and bottom by ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised pillbox topped by a crossed sword and shovel and a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR ARBEIT ZUM SCHUTZE DEUTSCHLANDS” (“FOR WORK IN THE PROTECTION OF GERMANY”), unmarked, measuring 32.9 mm (w) x 45.2 mm (h), weighing 19.51 grams.
4. An Italian-German African Campaign Medal, constructed of bronze, on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing two raised gladiators grappling with a crocodile, the reverse bearing a central raised depiction of the Arco dei Fileni, flanked by a fasces and swastika, and circumscribed by an inscription of “Italian German Campaign in Africa” in both German and Italian, measuring 30.8 mm in diameter, weighing 13.79 grams.
