A mixed lot of four Third Reich German service awards, consisting of:
1. A Civil Service 25 Year Faithful Service Award, constructed of silvered bronze with enamels, on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon featuring a horizontal pinback, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms joined through the quadrants by a circular oak leaf wreath, the obverse bearing a central black enameled swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 41.2 mm (w) x 46.1 mm (l), weighing 22.25 grams.
2. An Eastern Campaign Medal, in silvered and patinated zinc, the obverse with a large National Eagle on the obverse clutching a swastika and a leftward facing Stahlhelm on the top with a horizontally oriented stick grenade, the reverse inscribed with “Winterschlacht im Osten 1941/42” (Winter Battle in the East) in capital letters with a crossed sword and laurel wreath at the base, on a loop for suspension from its correct modern replacement ribbon, measuring 36.2 mm in diameter, weighing 17.65 grams.
3. A Commemorative Anschluss Medal, a circular medal constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse with two raised male figures, the one on the right bearing the German flag in his left hand, with his right hand placed around the shoulders of the figure on the left, with broken chains around his right arm with a German national eagle directly below, the reverse with the date “March 13th, 1938” centrally and circumscribed by “One People, One Country, One Leader” in German, on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, unmarked, measuring 32.2 mm in diameter, weighing 16.53 grams inclusive of its ribbon.
4. An Italian-German African Campaign Medal, constructed of bronze, on a loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing two raised gladiators grappling with a crocodile, the reverse bearing a central raised depiction of the Arco dei Fileni, flanked by a fasces and swastika, and circumscribed by an inscription of “Italian German Campaign in Africa” in both German and Italian, measuring 31.5 mm in diameter, weighing 13.79 grams.
