Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Cap Insignia

(Mützenabzeichen). A mixed lot of cap insignia, including:

1. A set of Heer visor cap insignia for Enlisted ranks, including an eagle, constructed of silvered feinzink, the reverse retaining all attachment prongs, maker marked with the illegible logo and manufacture date of “39”, measuring 65 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), and; a one-piece wreath and cockade, constructed of silvered feinzink with aluminum, the reverse retaining one of two attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 62 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.

2. An SA/HJ edelweiss cap insignia, constructed of magnetic metal with gilt, unmarked, measuring 25 mm (w) x 50 mm (l), a variant issued to personnel of SA-Gruppe Alpenland, Bayerische Ostmark, as well as equivalent alpine-based units of the HJ, in extremely fine condition.

3. A Kyffhäuser League cap insignia, constructed of bronze and magnetic metal with gilt and paint, the reverse retaining both attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
