(Abzeichen). A mixed lot of badges, including:
1. A DRL Sports Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a ribbon defaced by a mobile swastika, the reverse with a barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
2. A German Horse Driver Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a circular oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a letter “R” situated within a belt, surrounding a chariot, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flattened and rounded catch, maker marked “L. CHR. LAUER, NÜRNBERG-BERLIN”, measuring 40 mm (w) x 50 mm (h), demonstrating near-total loss of finish and some oxidation, a late-issue badge in very fine condition.
3. A 1942-43 Winterhilfswerk (WHW) Tyrolean marksmanship donation campaign badge, constructed of gilded feinzink with multi-coloured enamels, horizontal pinback, maker marked “K. PICHL, INNSBRUCK”, measuring 35 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
4. A Reich Labour Service of Female Youth (RADwJ) commemorative service badge, constructed of silvered zink, horizontal pinback, maker marked with the logo of Julius Bauer & Co., Gablonz, measuring 42 mm (w) x 35 mm (h), in very fine condition.
5. An RADwJ cap badge, constructed of zink, the reverse retaining both attachment prongs, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and a Reichsleitung des Reichsarbeitsdienstes (RLAD) logo, with a manufacture date of “41”, measuring 36 mm (w) x 40 mm (h), in very fine condition.
6. An Imperial Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of a blackened metal alloy, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath with scalloped edges, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central Stahlhelm overlaying crossed swords on a cut-out background, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), demonstrating minor loss of finish, in better than very fine condition.
