Germany, Third Reich. A Mixed Lot of Badges and Insignia

(Abzeichen). A mixed lot of badges and insignia, including:

1. An HJ Proficiency Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of a cupal, the obverse consisting of a Tyr rune overlaid by a central mobile swastika, in turn situated within a ribbed ring bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR LEISTUNGEN IN DER H.J.” (“FOR MERIT IN THE H.J.”), the reverse with a vertical pinback, stamped with an award number of “263868”, also marked with a Reichszeugmeisteri (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/35” for Wächtler & Lange, Mittweida, measuring 30 mm (w) x 52 mm (h), demonstrating minor loss of finish, in better than very fine condition.

2. A Heer pith helmet emblem, constructed of a zink alloy, the obverse consisting of a blackened shield bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, the reverse retaining all three attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 36 mm (w) 42 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

3. An Ordnungspolizei visor cap insignia, constructed of aluminum, the reverse retaining one of to attachment prongs, unmarked, measuring 58 mm (w) x 45 mm (h), in better than very fine condition.

4. A Heer Gebirgsjäger cap insignia, constructed of silvered and gilded bronze, perforated with three holes for sew-on attachment, unmarked, measuring 40 mm (w) x 50 mm (l), demonstrating near-total loss of finish, in fair condition.
