(Abzeichen und Auszeichnungen). A mixed lot of badges and awards, including:
1. A Sudetenland Medal, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, above a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central raised date of “1. OKTOBER 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER” (“ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER”), unmarked, measuring 32.10 mm in diameter, weighing 12.6 grams, the ribbon is missing its pinback, in near extremely fine condition.
2. A Kuban Shield, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a stylized map of the Kuban region, topped by an inscription of “KUBAN” and a Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the latter flanked by a date of “1943”, with four attachment clips emanating from the sides, unmarked, measuring 53.73 mm (w) x 61.52 mm (h), weighing 13.6 grams, missing its backplate and branch-determining wool liner, a high-quality post-war veteran's replacement example in very fine condition.
3. A ribbon bar featuring three decorations, including a Wehrmacht Long Service Award with fist pattern droptail-style Luftwaffe device, an Austrian Bravery Medal, and an Austrian War Commemorative Medal, set on a 45 mm-long magnetic metal bar with a horizontal pinback, demonstrating minor soiling, in better than very fine condition.
4. An HJ membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the reverse with a vertical pinback, marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and maker code “M1/34” for Karl Wurster, Markneukirchen, measuring 15 mm (w) x 25 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
5. An HJ Proficiency Badge, SIlver Grade, constructed of a silvered bronze alloy, the obverse consisting of a Tyr rune overlaid by a central mobile swastika, situated within a circular ring bearing a raised inscription of “FÜR LEISTUNGEN IN DER H.J.” (“FOR ACHIEVEMENTS IN THE H.J.”), the reverse with a vertical pinback, marked with “B” indicating a replacement piece, also marked with an RZM logo and maker code “M1/63” for Steinhauer & Lück, Lüdenscheid, measuring 30 mm (w) x 52 mm (h), demonstrating minor loss of finish and evidence of pinback repair, in better than very fine condition.
6. An NS-Frauenschaft membership badge, constructed of bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the reverse with a horizontal pinback, marked with an RZM logo and maker code “M1/72” for Fritz Zimmermann, Stuttgart, measuring 25 mm (w) x 28 mm (h), demonstrating some flecking to the enamels, in near extremely fine condition.
7. A Deutsches Frauenschaft membership badge, constructed of silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, the reverse with a vertical pinback, marked with an RZM logo and maker code “M1/127” for Alfred Stübbe, Berlin, measuring 30 mm (w) x 32 mm (h), demonstrating minor flecking and loss of finish to the enamels and base metal, respectively.
8. An Anschluss commemorative medallion, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse engraver marked “HANISCH-CONCEE”, measuring 36 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.
9. A 1933 patriotic medallion, constructed of bronze, the edge maker marked “BAYER. HAUPTMÜNZAMT” indicating manufacture by the Bavarian Mint in Munich, measuring 36 mm diameter, in better than very fine condition.
