Germany, Third Reich. A Medal Bar for Police and Military Long Service

(Ordensschnalle). A medal bar featuring three awards, including:

1. A Sudetenland Medal, constructed of silvered bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing two raised figures, one of which is clutching a flag and the other a length of broken chain, above a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central date of “13. MÄRZ 1938”, circumscribed by an inscription of “EIN VOLK, EIN REICH, EIN FÜHRER” (“ONE PEOPLE, ONE NATION, ONE LEADER”), unmarked, measuring 32.40 mm in diameter, in extremely fine condition.

2. A Police 8-Year Long Service Award, constructed of silvered tombak, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central number “8”, circumscribed by an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER POLIZEI” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE POLICE”), unmarked, measuring 38.10 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.

3. A Wehrmacht 4-Year Long Service Award, constructed of silvered magnetic metal, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon pinned with Heer/Kriegsmarine device, the obverse bearing a Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, circumscribed by an inscription of “TREUE DIENSTE IN DER WEHRMACHT” (“FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE WEHRMACHT”), the reverse bearing a wreathed number “4”, unmarked, measuring 29.87 mm in diameter, in near extremely fine condition.

All suspended from a 90 mm-long bar with a magnetic metal core, horizontal pinback, and police-green wool liner, unmarked, an interesting bar for police and military service in near extremely fine condition.
