Germany, Third Reich. A Heer EM/NCO’s Belt Buckle, with Service Badges

(Heer Gürtelschnalle mit Abzeichen). A mixed lot of items, including:

1. A Heer EM/NCO’s belt buckle, constructed of pebbled and silvered aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a mobile swastika, situated within a ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with oak leaf branches, the reverse with a loop and attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, maker marked with the logo of Sohni, Heubach & Co., Oberstein, measuring 64 mm (w) x 46 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.

2. A Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm overlaid by a mobile swastika, on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a clip hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “107” for Carl Wild, Hamburg, measuring 36.92 mm (w) x 44.28 mm (h), weighing 10.0 grams, demonstrating loss of finish to the obverse and possible re-painting of the reverse, in very fine condition.

3. A DRL Sports Badge, Bronze Grade, constructed of bronze, the obverse consisting of an oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by a ribbon defaced by a mobile swastika, surrounding central stylized initials “DRL”, the reverse with a raised barrel hinge and vertical pinback meeting a flat wire catch, maker marked “ERNST MÜLLER, PFORZHEIM”, measuring 38.92 mm (w) x 47.62 mm (h), weighing 17.8 grams, in extremely fine condition.
