Description

(Waffen-SS Verleihungsurkunde für das Kriegsverdienstkreuz II. Klasse mit Schwertern Verleihungsurkunde). An award document for a War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, named to “SS-UNTERSCHARFÜHRER HEINZ GLAUBRECHT”, awarded on 30 January 1943, certified by the facsimile signature of Generalfeldmarschall Wilhelm Keitel, measuring 14.5 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in extremely fine condition; accompanied by two engagement announcements, both presented on off-white paper stock with black ink, indicating Glaubrecht’s forthcoming marriage to “ANNELIESE TEMPEL”, dated 24 December 1942, both measuring 14 cm (w) x 9 cm (h), in extremely fine condition, and; a mass-produced Yule greeting from Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler, dated 21 December 1941, measuring 14.5 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.

Footnote: At the time of the award, correspondence from Heinz Glaubrecht’s estate includes a Feldpost number of 47188, indicating that he was attached to Feldersatz-Bataillon 7, 7th SS Volunteer Mountain Division Prinz Eugen.
