Description

(Tarnüberzug für Helm). This is an extremely well-preserved Waffen-SS reversible second pattern camouflage helmet cover, constructed of multi-coloured cotton-blended fabric. One side of the cover features a predominantly green mottle, while the reverse bears a predominantly brown pattern. Each side bears six embroidered cotton loops for the attachment of foliage to the helmet. The cover has three rocker clips, with two at the sides and one at the rear, to ensure a secure fit to the accompanying helmet. The cover is unmarked and measures approximately 194 mm (h) x 352 mm (l) when folded. There is sporadic fraying of the stitching, but the cover presents in an otherwise extremely fine condition.
