Description

(Dienstauszeichnung Reichsarbeitsdienst IV. Klasse für Frauen). Instituted 30 January 1938. (1938-1943 issue). Constructed of bronzed aluminum, on loop for suspension from its period original bow tie-style ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a double-sided oval oak leaf wreath, joined together at the top and button by ribbon, the obverse bearing a mobile swastika situated within wheat stalks, the reverse bearing an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IM REICHSARBEITSDIENST” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE REICH LABOUR SERVICE”), unmarked, measuring 32.64 mm (w) x 44.74 mm (h), weighing 11.0 grams, in near mint condition.
