Constructed of gilded bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled, the obverse overlaid by a central Ordnungspolizei insignia in the form of an oval oak leaf wreath bearing a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse overlaid by a central oval medallion bearing an inscription of “FÜR TREUE DIENSTE IN DER POLIZEI” (“FOR FAITHFUL SERVICE IN THE POLICE”), the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “16” for Alois Rettenmaier, Schwäbisch Gmünd, measuring 43.18 mm (w) x 48.34 mm (h), weighing 22.4 grams, accompanied by its period original presentation case, of two-piece card stock construction, the exterior with a faux dark green leather liner, the lid bearing a gilt wreathed number “25”, the interior with a felt-lined medal bed, unmarked, measuring 60 mm (w) x 100 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), in overall extremely fine condition.
