In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Feuerschutzpolizei Seitengewehr). A very well-preserved Feuerschutzpolizei (Fire Police) dress bayonet, measuring 40.5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 25 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade which retains factory-original sharpening to the tip and lower edge. A wide fuller runs the majority of the length of each side of the blade. The reverse ricasso is maker marked with the classic lobster logo of Peter Daniel Krebs, Solingen. The blade sits securely within a nickel-plated metal alloy hilt with a classic Fire Police double-hooked quillon, with an intact leather buffer pad covering the seam. Two pieces of pebbled black bakelite compose the handle grip, and are fastened in place with dual metal rivets. Accompanying the bayonet is its original scabbard, constructed of a black painted magnetic metal shaft. A downward-pointing hook emanates from the side of the shaft for the accommodation of a frog. The throat retains a functional catch to firmly hold the bayonet in place. Demonstrating no notable issues with the exception of minor running marks and loss of plating to the blade and hilt, respectively, the bayonet remains in an extremely fine condition.
