Germany, NSKK. A Traffic Education Service Gorget

(Nationalsozialistisches Kraftfahrkorps Ringkragen des Verkehrserziehungsdienst). Constructed of aluminum, the obverse bearing a central raised NSKK insignia, topped by an identification number of “2193”, and flanked by an inscription of “NSKK VERKEHRS-ERZIEHUNGSDIENST” (“NSKK TRAFFIC EDUCATION SERVIE”), with domed studs affixed to the top corners, the reverse with two loops affixed to the studs which retain a full-length replacement neck chain, with an additional stabilizing clip emanating from the NSKK insignia, unmarked, measuring 17.5 cm (w) x 12 cm (h), demonstrating total loss of black finish to the obverse resulting in a heavy patina, in addition to the loss of the reverse liner with exposed adhesive, in fair condition.
