(Verleihungsurkunde zum Blutorden). A rare and well-preserved Blood Order award document, constructed of a card stock frame fully lined in a faux dark red leather liner, the cover bearing an embossed and gilded NSDAP-style German national eagle, opening to reveal two marbled card stock liners affixed to the front and back, the latter featuring corner slots into which is inserted an award document, constructed of card stock with ink and gilt decorations, featuring a central dedication to NSDAP member “FRIEDRICH KNILL”, issued from Munich on 31 May 1940 and certified by the handwritten signature of Reichsschatzleiter (National Treasurer) Franz Xaver Schwarz, flanked by embossed depictions of the imagery featured on the Blood Order decoration, with the left side featuring a German national eagle clutching a wreathed date of “9. NOV.”, situated beside dates “1923-1933”, and with the right side featuring an image of the Feldherrnhalle, topped by a radiant mobile swastika circumscribed by an inscription of “UND IHR HABT DOCH GESIEGT” (“AND AFTER ALL, YOU WON”), each forming the centrepiece of gilt laurel branches, measuring 28 cm (w) x 35.5 cm (h) when closed, demonstrating minor and age-appropriate discoloration throughout both the exterior and interior, a rare award document to a recipient of one of the most prestigious distinctions offered by the NSDAP in near extremely fine condition.
