Germany, NSDAP. A Patriotic Pendant in Gold, Exhibition Example, c. 1965

(NSDAP Patriotischer Goldanhänger- Museumsstück). An interesting NSDAP patriotic pendant, constructed of 14K Gold, consisting of a pebbled circular ring, surrounding an NSDAP-style German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, situated over a hollow void and above a banner bearing an inscription of “DEUTSCHES REICH 1938”, the edge bearing a partially-legible inscription of “GEMEINNUTZ GEHT VOR EIGENNUTZ” (“THE COMMON GOOD BEFORE THE INDIVIDUAL GOOD”), the reverse stamped with a Gold content mark of “14K”, flanked by a partially-legible hallmark, measuring 27.94 mm in diameter, weighing 10.6 grams, a stunning exhibition example of NSDAP patriotica, likely inspired by the Anschluss, in extremely fine condition.
