Germany, NSDAP. A Long Service Award, III Class for 10 Years with Case, by Förster & Barth

Constructed of bronzed aluminum, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with ribbed arms joined through the quadrants by stylized rays, the obverse bearing a central circular oak leaf wreath, overlaid by a German national eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a central circular oak leaf wreath, surrounding a raised inscription of “TREUE FÜR FÜHRER UND VOLK” (“LOYALTY FOR FÜHRER AND PEOPLE”), the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “10” for Förster & Barth, Pforzheim, measuring 42.92 mm (w) x 46.98 mm (h), weighing 14.9 grams, accompanied by a period presentation case, of two-piece card stock construction, the exterior with faux brown leather liner and gilt NSDAP-style German national eagle defacing the lid, the base maker marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) code “M1/120” for Wilhelm Deumer, Lüdenscheid, measuring 50 mm (w) x 95 mm (l) x 18 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
