In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Luftwaffe Dolch für Offiziere). A well-preserved Luftwaffe Officer’s dress dagger, measuring 42.5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 26 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel dagger which retains factory-original sharpening to the edges and tips. Fully unmarked, the blade sits securely within an aluminum crossguard, the obverse of which bears a raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika, with an intact black leather buffer pad covering the seam. A single piece of ribbed off-white celluloid composes the handle grip, with the ribbing retaining an original twisted and rolled wire cord. It culminates in an aluminum pommel which bears double-sided wreathed mobile swastikas, screwing in to maintain the dagger’s structural integrity. It is accompanied by its original scabbard, constructed of a pebbled magnetic metal shaft. Dual oak leaf bands are situated below the throat and retain loops for the accommodation of a hanger. Issues consistent with age and wear are evident, and include running marks and tarnishing to the blade, surface oxidation throughout the steel fixtures, and weakening of the scabbard’s throat catch. This unmarked version remains in a very fine condition.
