Germany, Luftwaffe. A Transport and Glider Clasp, Silver Grade, Late-War Example by Friedrich Linden

(Frontflugspange für Transport-und Luftlandeflieger in Silber). Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a circular laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, surrounding a central Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika while in mid-flight, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a central hollow rivet securing the eagle in position, with a crimped hinge and fluted banjo-style pinback meeting a flat wire catch, unmarked but demonstrating the characteristics of a variant credited to Friedrich Linden, Lüdenscheid, measuring 77.14 mm (w) x 25.76 mm (h), weighing 19.0 grams, demonstrating moderate loss of silver finish throughout, a late-war example in very fine condition.
