(Luftwaffe Soldbuch). Constructed of a grey paper stock binding, the interior with 24 pages, featuring a black-and-white photograph of the bearer, measuring 100 mm (w) x 144 mm (h), extensive material fatigue evident, with loose pages and a torn spine, in overall near very fine condition.
Footnote: Albert Faas was born to a Catholic family on 5 March 1918 near Köln. He was employed as a labourer before entering Luftwaffe service, where he served with Kampfgeschwader 26 through 1944. He was promoted to Hauptmann and became squadron commander on 6 November 1944. During the war, Faas was a recipient of the Observer Badge (6 November 1941), the Iron Cross, II Class (21 September 1941), the Wound Badge, Blade Grade (24 September 1941), the Iron Cross, I Class (9 December 1941), among other awards.
