Description

(Pilotenabzeichen). In nickel silver featuring laurel leaves towards the left side side, and oak leaves towards the right side of the wreath, separated by three small ribbon-like loops on the bottom, with a large patinated eagle with spread-out wings superimposed on the badge, clutching a swastika in its talons, two rivets on the reverse having been period repaired; vertical needle style pinback with the pin having been wartime filed for easier use, with a barrel hinge and a round wire catch, maker marked by the logo of F. W. Assmann & Söhne on the reverse, measuring 65.05 mm (w) x 523.08 mm (h); in overall worn condition.
