A well-preserved pair of Luftwaffe flight goggles, constructed of black bakelite frames joined together at the centre with a swivel hinge, each with with fully-intact tinted and splinter-proof “Ultrarasin” lenses, with magnetic metal loops emanating from the sides of the eyepieces for the accommodation of a full-length strap, itself adjusted with a magnetic metal buckle, the right frame maker marked “NIGURA” for Nitsche & Günther, Rathenow, measuring 16.5 cm (w) x 5.5 cm (h) when fully extended, demonstrating oxidation to the metal fixtures, a third model pair in near extremely fine condition.
