Germany, Luftwaffe. A Pair of Officers Breeches

(Luftwaffe Offizier Stiefelhose). A pair of fine quality Luftwaffe breeches worn by Officers, constructed of grey-coloured wool, the front with one diagonal slit pocket per side, the rear with one horizontal slit pocket per side that are secured shut via a single grey bakelite button each. There is also a small additional horizontal slit pocket on the front right side of these breeches. There is an additional pair of matching straps with bakelite  buttons sewn to the rear of the beltline, acting as optional fasteners for a pair of suspenders. These breeches are secured shut in the front via a vertical slit with a total of six black bakelite buttons met by reinforced button-holes on the opposing side. The interior of these breeches is unlined, except for the beltline, which is lined with grey-coloured cotton. The pant leg cuffs have a 26 cm long vertical slit and feature a metal zipper that is marked “Ries” on the pull tab. The pair measures approximately 40 cm across the waist, with an inseam of 68 cm, and an overall length of 95 cm. This pair of high quality officer’s breeches appear unworn, however, there is light to moderate mothing throughout, in overall very fine condition.
