Description

(Luftwaffe Fotos mit Unterschriften). A mixed lot of postwar signed photos of notable Luftwaffe airmen, including:

1. One depicting General Adolf Galland (fighter ace with 104 victories; recipient of the Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 29 July 1940; with Oak Leaves, 24 September 1940; Diamonds, 21 June 1941; second Diamonds, 28 January 1942), featuring a reproduced image situated above Galland’s handwritten signature, measuring 8.5 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.

2. One depicting Major Martin Drewes (night fighter ace with 52 victories, primarily against Royal Air Force bombers; recipient of the German Cross in Gold, 24 February 1944; Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 27 July 1944; with Oak Leaves, 17 April 1944), featuring a reproduced and colourized image overlaid by Drewes’ handwritten signature, measuring 10 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.

3. One depicting Hauptmann Karl-Fritz Schloßstein (fighter ace with 8 victories; recipient of the Luftwaffe Honour Goblet, 26 October 1942; German Cross in Gold, 31 March 1943), featuring a reproduced image of Schloßstein, situated above his handwritten signature, measuring 10 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.

4. One large photo depicting Hans-Ekkehard Bob, Hajo Herrmann, Karl Fritz-Schloßstein, and Peter Spoden at Werner Mölders’ grave, featuring Schloßstein’s handwritten signature, measuring 21 cm (w) x 30 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.

5. One depicting Unteroffizier Ottomar Kruse (fighter pilot with 4 victories), featuring a reproduced image of Kruse, overlaid by his handwritten signature, measuring 10 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
