Germany, Luftwaffe. A Mixed Lot of Award Documents and Paper Items from the Estate of Hauptmann Walther Glöckel

(Luftwaffe Konvolut). A Mixed lot of award documents and paper items from the estate of Hauptmann Walter Glöckel, Luftwaffe Flak Troops, including:

1. An award document for the Iron Cross II Class, named to Glöckel as a Hauptmann (zur Verwendung) of Leicht Reserve-Flakabteilung 941, awarded in Munich on 21 December 1940, certified by the facsimile signature of Generalleutnant Emil Zenetti, measuring 14 cm (w) x 20 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.

2. An award document for the War Merit Cross I Class with Swords, named to Glöckel as a Hauptmann, awarded from Headquarters of the Supreme Command of the Luftwaffe on 1 September 1942, certified by the facsimile signature of Reichsmarschall Hermann Göring and the handwritten signature of General der Flieger Gustav Kastner-Kirdorf, measuring 15 cm (w) x 21 cm (h), accompanied by a telegram notice dated 4 September 1942 and issued by Flakbrigade IV,  in near extremely fine condition.

3. A pair of Reichspost telegram extending birthday greetings to Glöckel, including one from Gauleiter Robert Wagner (also Chief of Civil Administration for Alsace; executed by France for war crimes on 14 August 1946), measuring 21 cm (w) x 15 cm (h), in better than very fine condition, and; one fromGeneral Emil Zenetti, dated 23 April 1942, measuring 21 cm (w) x 20 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.

4. A mixed lot of twelve promotion and assignment notices and private wartime studio portraits, in overall near extremely fine condition.

5. A mixed lot of six wartime Luftwaffe postcards, the obverse of each featuring black-and-white photos or illustrations of personnel and equipment, the reverse of each unused, in overall extremely fine condition.
