Germany, Luftwaffe. A Mint Pair of Breeches for Senior Non-Commissioned Officers

(Luftwaffe Stiefelhose für Unteroffiziere). An extremely well-preserved pair of Luftwaffe breeches for senior Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs), constructed of dark slate grey wool cloth with a subtle whipcord weave. Six belt loops are distributed around the waistband, while a French fly closes with three hidden bakelite buttons and a magnetic metal clip. Two front pockets are set into the upper legs and open with diagonal slashes, while a single back pocket is set into the upper right leg and fastens closed with a bakelite button. Each ankle has a vertical slash which closes with a functional metal zipper. Two integral straps completing in bakelite buttons emanate from the waistband and fasten to the interior for the inclusion of suspenders, while the interior itself is plain and unmarked. The breeches measure approximately 41 cm across the waist, with an inseam of 30 cm, and an overall length of 94 cm. Demonstrating no evident damage or wear, they remain in a near mint condition.
