Germany, Luftwaffe. A General’s Dagger Hanger, by Wilhelm Deus

(Luftwaffe Gehänge für den Dolch der Generale). A Luftwaffe General’s dagger hanger, consisting of a functional gilded feinzink spring clip, with two loops emanating from the lower edge, each accommodating a dark grey doeskin strap, in turn topped by layers of slate-grey rayon threading trimmed with silver aluminum wire tresses, both adjusted with functional gilded feinzink buckles in the form of rectangular oak leaf wreaths, and culminating in function gilded feinzink spring clips to lock onto an accompanying scabbard’s loops, the upper clip marked with a Reichszeugmeisterei (RZM) logo and code “U.E. 10”, likely indicating manufacture by Wilhelm Deus, Solingen, measuring 28.5 cm in total length of presented, demonstrating near-total loss of gilt finish to the base metal, in better than very fine condition.
