(Luftwaffe Kriegsverdienstkreuz II. Klasse mit Verleihungsurkunde und Sterbebild zum Luftwarnhelferin). A scarce group to a Luftwaffe female auxiliary, consisting of:
1. A War Merit Cross II Class, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Maltese Cross with pebbled arms and with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a wreathed mobile swastika, the reverse bearing a wreathed date of “1939”, unmarked, measuring 49.31 mm (w) x 49.26 mm (h), weighing 24.2 grams, in extremely fine condition.
2. An award document for the War Merit Cross II Class with Swords, named to Luftwarnhelferin (Air Raid Warning Auxiliary) “ANNA HABLE”, issued from the headquarters of the Commander-in-Chief of the Luftwaffe and dated 2 August 1943, certified by the handwritten signature of Oberstleutnant Montua, measuring 14 cm (w) x 20.5 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
3. A death card to Anna Hable, constructed of paperstock, opening to reveal a black-and-white studio portrait of Hable in an Auxiliary uniform, with a dedication indicating that she suffered a serious accident on 6 December 1943 and succumbed to her injuries on the following day at the age of 20, measuring 12 cm (w) x 10.5 cm (h), in extremely fine condition.
