For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

(Kriegsmarine dunkelblaues Schiffchen für Mannschaften). An interesting and well-preserved Kriegsmarine EM/NCO’s board cap, constructed of dark navy blue wool. An interesting and well-preserved Kriegsmarine EM/NCO’s board cap, constructed of dark navy blue wool. The cap is fully surrounded by fold-down side walls which gently slope toward the front. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a dark navy blue rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered golden-yellow Kriegsmarine eagle clutching a mobile swastika, measuring 70 mm (w) x 25 mm (h). Directly below the eagle, cap bears an additional insignia consisting of a machine-embroidered tri-colour cockade on a dark navy blue rayon backer, measuring 32 mm (w) x 32 mm (h). Notably, the left side of the side wall is embroidered with an Olympic ring decoration executed in silvered bronze with multi-coloured enamels, measuring 45 mm (w) x 20 mm (h), as worn by the crewmen of approximately 23 U-Boats who entered service during the year of the 1936 Berlin Olympics. The reverse of the badge is maker marked with the logo of Carl Poellath, Schrobenhausen. The interior of the cap is fully encompassed by a multi-piece black rayon liner, with a white ink size mark of “57” visible on the right. The cap measures approximately 29 cm (l) x 13 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. Moderate fatigue is visible to the cockade, but the cap demonstrates no other notable damage or wear and is a scarce example in extremely fine condition.
