(Kriegsmarine Verleihungsurkunden und Papier). A mixed lot of three award documents and correspondence to Kriegsmarine Gefreiter Albert Rudnick, including:
1. A Seemotorführer certification document, constructed of off-white paper stock with multi-coloured ink, issued to Rudnick in Hamburg on 18 August 1937 and indicating that he was born on 18 May 1910 in Todenbüttel, Rendsburg district, measuring 210 mm (w) x 295 mm (h), with some creasing and soiling evident, in better than very fine condition.
2. An award document for a 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Rudnick as a Matrosengefreiter, issued in Paris on 10 April 1941, featuring the handwritten signature of Admiral Otto Schultze (Pour le Mérite, 18 March 1918) in his capacity as Commanding Admiral of France, measuring 140 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), with a folding crease evident, in near extremely fine condition.
3. A letter addressed to Rudnick (under Feldpost number 08405 for 1. Batterie, Marine-Artillerie-Abteilung 240) from Hamburg Railway President Erich Goudfroy, presumably Rudnick’s prewar employer, congratulating him on receiving the Iron Cross for shooting down enemy aircraft, dated 17 May 1941, measuring 148 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
4. Accompanied by a studio photo depicting Rudnick in uniform and with the Iron Cross ribbon and a dagger clearly visible, the reverse in unused postcard format, printed on Agfa paper, measuring 78 mm (w) x 135 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
