In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Kriegsmarine Dolch für Offiziere, Miniatur). A well-preserved miniature Kriegsmarine Officer’s dress dagger, measuring 20 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 14 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade with a sharpened tip (and with an additional stem that continues into the hilt). The blade is unmarked and sits securely within a multi-piece hilt which features a gilded bronze crossguard bearing double-sided central fouled anchors. The handle grip is composed of a single piece of ribbed orange-brown celluloid. It completes with a gilded bronze pommel which takes the form of stylized flames. Wrapped around the crossguard and pommel is a portepee consisting of a stylized non-magnetic metal acorn suspended from a bullion wire cord. Accompanying the dagger is its original scabbard, constructed of a gilded bronze shaft which bears stylized lightning bolts and other imagery around the outer circumference. Dual integral rings decorated with ropes are situated near the top of the shaft, each with a loop for the accommodation of a hanger. Unmarked, the dagger demonstrates only minor signs of wear, and remains in an extremely fine condition.
