A full-length greatcoat constructed of fine quality navy blue cloth, the front presents double breasted, with dual, vertical and parallel rows of five front closure buttons with corresponding reinforced button holes on both the left and right panels, the reverses maker marked F.L. IM FEUER VERGOLDET, with fold back lapels and lay down collar, each shoulder bears shoulder boards constructed of interwoven, silver-aluminum Russian braiding, mounted on navy blue wool bases, each measuring 38 mm (w) x 92 mm (h), the right breast presents an officer’s breast eagle constructed of silver-aluminum wire presenting an eagle with out-stretched wings, clutching a wreathed, mobile swastika, with gold bullion wire accents, mounted on a navy blue wool base, measuring 102 mm (w) x 42 mm (h), each sleeve bears three standard pattern sleeve braids each measuring 16 mm wide, each sleeve also bears a star in silver-aluminum wire, the reverse presents a rear vent measuring 65.5 cm in length, decorated with six golden anchor buttons, the interior is lined with black rayon while the sleeves are lined with off-white striped fabric, each interior breast presents a pocket, the collar presents the maker label for BORNEMANN BERLIN W., the coat measures a total of 42.5 cm across the shoulders, 53.5 cm in the arms, and 115 cm in total length, presenting minimal wear and minimal mothing, and in extremely fine condition.
Long trousers constructed of navy blue cloth, consisting of two front and two back panels, joined by lateral seams and seat seams, the waistband, measuring 50 cm, closes in the front by a black metal hook and eye, it is double-lined with linen cloth and lining fabric of light colours, the trouser fly has four black bakelite buttons meeting four buttonholes, six buttons for suspender attachment are positioned in pairs below the waist edge, the trousers present two side hip pockets and a front pocket watch pocket, the outer seam measures 110 cm in length, the inner seam measures 77 cm in length, the trousers present mild soiling, bearing a period repair on the left lower leg, but in otherwise very fine condition.
