1. A 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from its original Third Reich-period ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse bearing a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 42.18 mm (w) x 46.01 mm (h), weighing 13.5 grams, demonstrating surface oxidation throughout the core, in addition to repair and replacement of the ring and suspension loop, in fair condition.
2. A second 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from its original Third Reich-period ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse bearing a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 42.35 mm (w) x 51.58 mm (h), weighing 17.5 grams, demonstrating crude repair and replacement of the loop and suspension ring, in very fine condition.
3. A third 1914 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse bearing a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse with three central oak leaves, the six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the twelve o’clock arm with initials “FW” topped by a royal crown, unmarked, measuring 42.11 mm (w) x 42.00 mm (h), weighing 17.0 grams, demonstrating surface oxidation throughout the core, in addition to the loss of the loop and suspension ring, in fair condition.
4. A 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of iron and silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened magnetic iron core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central mobile swastika, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1939”, the reverse six o’clock arm with an initial institution date of “1813”, the suspension loop maker marked with Präsidialkanzlei code “24” for Arbeitsgemeinschaft der Hanauer Plakettenhersteller, measuring 45.04 mm (w) x 48.01 mm (h), weighing 19.4 grams, demonstrating some loss of finish to the core, in very fine condition.
