(Auszeichnungen und Insignien). A mixed lot of awards and insignia encompassing both the Imperial and Third Reich (Wehrmacht) periods, including:
1. An Imperial Black Grade Wound Badge, constructed of blackened magnetic metal, the obverse consisting of an oval laurel leaf wreath, joined together at the bottom by ribbon, with a central raised Stahlhelm on top of crossed swords on a pebbled field, the reverse with a crimped hinge and vertical pinback meeting a round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 38.41 mm (w) x 43.69 mm (h), weighing 12.9 grams, demonstrating minor surface oxidation throughout, in very fine condition.
2. An Prussian Heer (Army) M1915 Enlisted ranks belt buckle, constructed of grey painted magnetic steel, the obverse bearing a central raised crown, situated within a circular ribbed ring bearing an inscription of “GOTT MIT UNS” (“GOD WITH US”) with laurel branches, the reverse with a loop and attachment claws emanating from a functional roller, unmarked, measuring 63 mm (w) x 48 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
3. An Imperial visor cap tri-colour cockade, constructed of black, white, and red painted magnetic metal, unmarked, measuring 25 mm in diameter, demonstrating moderate oxidation and loss of paint throughout, in fair condition.
4. An Imperial tunic button, constructed of silvered bronze, the obverse bearing a raised royal crown over a pebbled field, the reverse with a lug, bearing a partially-legible maker’s mark, measuring 21 mm in diameter, demonstrating evidence of lug repair, in very fine condition.
5. A pair of mis-matched Enlisted ranks uniform buttons, both constructed of brown painted bronze, the reverse of each with a lug, one maker marked with an unidentified manufacturer’s logo and the other unmarked, both measuring 20 mm in diameter, in overall very fine condition.
6. An Eastern Front Medal, constructed of silvered and patinated zink, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a raised Heer-style German national eagle clutching a swastika, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “WINTERSCHLACHT IM OSTEN 1941/42” (“WINTER BATTLE IN THE EAST 1941/42”), above a crossed sword and laurel branch, topped by a Stahlhelm and stick grenade, unmarked, measuring 36.50 mm (w) x 44.26 mm (h), weighing 22.3 grams, demonstrating near-total loss of finish, in very fine condition.
