In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Kampfmesser mit Troddel). A Heer trench knife, measuring 28.5 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 14.5 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel, stiletto-style blade which retains factory-original sharpening to the edges and tip. Unmarked, the blade emanates from an integral tang, with the transition covered by an oblong crossguard, with two pieces of ribbed wood composing the handle grip. Accompanying the knife is its original scabbard, constructed of a black painted magnetic metal shaft. Riveted to the reverse is a black leather strap which is configured into a loop for belt suspension, and which retains a functional snap button. Wrapped around the hanger is a period knot, consisting of a stylized embroidered acorn (executed in Prussian black and white, the latter substituted with silver-grey threading) suspended from a cord of identical construction. Issues consistent with age and field use are evident, and include some running marks and tarnishing to the blade, scratching of the handle, loss of paint to the scabbard, and some fatigue to the hanger and knot. This combat-used trench knife remains in a very fine condition.
