In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Ordensschnalle für Kriegshilfsdienst). A medal bar for war assistance featuring two decorations, including:
1. A unusual Prussian Red Cross Medal, II Class, constructed of bronze, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, the obverse bearing a central raised Geneva Cross with red enameled arms culminating at each end in a royal crown, the quadrants bearing monograms of Kaiser Wilhelm II and Kaiserin Auguste Victoria, the reverse bearing a raised inscription of “FUER VERDIENSTE UM DAS ROTHE KREUZ” (“FOR SERVICE TO THE RED CROSS”), flanked by an oak leaf branch, unmarked, measuring 33.13 mm in diameter, an atypical example of a bronze and enameled II Class award or III Class award with enamels applied, demonstrating moderate loss of finish, in very fine condition.
2. A Baden Cross for Voluntary War Aid, constructed of gilded zink, on loop for suspension with its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Pattée with pebbled arms, the obverse bearing a central raised Geneva Cross, the three and nine o’clock arms bearing dates “1914-196”, the six and twelve o’clock arms bearing a Baden coat of arms and royal crown, respectively, the reverse bearing a central raised monogram of King Friedrich II, unmarked, measuring 39.26 mm (w) x 43.26 mm (h), demonstrating total loss of gilt finish throughout, in very fine condition.
Both suspended from a 75 mm-long zink bar with a horizontal pinback and grey wool reverse liner, with the core consisting of an angled example for display on formal wear, in near extremely fine condition.
