Germany, Imperial. A Lot of Twenty-Six Photographs - Studio Portraits, Group Photos, Postcards, with Submarine and Zeppelin Photographs.

A group of 26 German Imperial and Third Reich German photographs and postcards, consisting of:

1. Eleven studio portraits of officers, non commissioned officers and enlisted soldiers. Notable is a photograph of three very young NCO candidates sitting shoulder to shoulder, armoured personnel, and some photographs of soldiers with awards on their chests, including ribbons for the Iron Cross 1939 Second Class, Eastern Campaign Medals, Wound Badges, and Long Service Awards, varying sizes, in better than very fine condition.

2. Five group photographs, two large photographs showing the entire company, one photograph of seven troops enjoying downtime, with two photographs of a group of Imperial soldiers, varying sizes, in better than very fine condition.

3. Two photographs showing a portion of a large zeppelin, measuring 88 mm (w) x 62 mm (l), 

4. Two photographs on-board of a submarine, one depicting two crew members stretching on the deck, the other showing a partial crew communicating with a smaller boat on the U-boat’s starboard side, varying sizes, in better than very fine condition. 

5. A photograph of a soldier’s portrait surrounded by a bed of flowers, measuring 137 mm (w) x 88 mm (l).

6. A Post-War (August 1945) photograph of a destroyed bridge, measuring 139 mm (w) x 89 mm (l).

7. Two photographs depicting Adolf Hitler at a rally, measuring 52 mm (w) x 76 mm (l).

8. Two miscellaneous photographs - one of German soldiers at a beach, and a picture-postcard of an art print by W. Willrich of a tank driver.

A fine grouping of twenty six photographs of varying sizes, in overall near extremely fine condition.
