In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(DEMAG Kampfmesser bzw. Grabendolch). A well-preserved wartime crank handle combination bayonet and fighting knife, measuring 28 cm in total length when inserted into the scabbard. It features a 15 cm-long, nickel-plated, magnetic steel blade which retains factory-original sharpening to the edges and tip. The obverse ricasso is marked with the “DEMAG” logo of Deutsche Maschinenfabrik AG, Duisburg. The blade sits securely within a magnetic metal crossguard perforated with an eyelet. It transitions into a curved magnetic metal handle grip with eight rivets, with a hollow insertion slot set into the pommel, itself retaining a functional push-button spring release. Accompanying the weapon is its original scabbard, constructed of a magnetic metal shaft. A blackened leather strap is riveted to the reverse, retaining a functional snap button, while the main section of the strap has separated from its lower rivet, preventing belt suspension as intended. Issues consistent with age and field use are evident, and include surface oxidation throughout the base metal of all components, as well as fatigue to the strap. This wartime combination bayonet and fighting knife, demonstrating Germany’s battlefield ingenuity, remains in a very fine condition.
