A 1914 Iron Cross II Class Award Document to Oberstleutnant Erich Fiedler of the 60th Landwehr Infantry Regiment, on cream-coloured paper. The document was signed in Metz on 20 October 1914, stamped and signed by General Falkenhausen. With a border of fruit. Presenting two folding creases, minor creasing and scuffing. Measuring 214 mm (w) x 321 mm (h), very fine.

A 1914 Iron Cross I Class, (Eisernes Kreuz 1914 I. Klasse). Reinstituted 5 August 1914. (1914-1918 issue). Constructed of silver, consisting of a Cross Pattée with a blackened core within a ribbed silver frame, the obverse with a central initial “W”, the six o’clock arm with a reinstitution date of “1914”, the twelve o’clock arm with a royal crown, the reverse is plain and bears a vertical pinback and round wire catch, unmarked, measuring 42.34 mm (w) x 42.67 mm (h), weighing 12.6 grams, very fine.
