Germany, HJ. A Rare Gold Grade Award Document for the National Trade Competition Victor’s Badge, to Willi Gietz

(Große Verleihungsmappe - Reichssieger im Reichsberufswettkampf 1938). Constructed of a rigid card stock binding with an off-white canvas liner, the cover bearing a gilt depiction of the 1938 Reichssieger (Gold Grade) award for that year’s installment of the HJ National Trade Competition, opening to reveal a large black-and-white portrait of the Führer presented on a card stock backer which has been securely pasted to the sunken void of the cover, the opposite side pasted with a corresponding award document named to “WILLI GIETZ”, issued from Berlin in 1938, certified by the handwritten signatures of Reichsorganisationsleiter (National Organization Leader) Dr. Robert Ley and Reichsjugendführer (Reich Youth Leader) Baldur von Schirach, measuring 31 cm (w) x 38.5 cm (h), demonstrating minor material fatigue to the binding liner, a rare award document to a recipient of the highest grade of an HJ distinction which features two notable signatures, in extremely fine condition.
