(Stiefelhose). A pair of black riding breeches constructed of black Gabardine wool with a reinforced seat and cuffs, each with three reinforced button holes meeting an equal number of Bakelite buttons, on each leg, above the cuffs, are two columns each presenting six reinforced eyelets, the waist is complete with three buttons (one replacement) on the fly, a small horizontal watch pocket on the right front waist line, two horizontal pockets on the rear, the waist closes with one black Bakelite button, also presents seven belt loops around the exterior, the interior waist area is partially lined with black cotton, measures 315 mm at the waist and 775 mm length in the legs, period repairs show all over the breeches, and they are in overall very fine condition.
Footnote: From 1925 to 1932, HJ officers were allowed to wear breeches and black leather riding boots. From 1933 to 1939, normally breeches were khaki like the rest of the uniform, but the Motor-, Flieger-, Reiter-, and Pioneer-HJ, wore black.
