(Scharfschütze Tarnhemd mit Verleihungsurkunden). A rare lot of award documents from the estate of Obergefreiter August Pamann, a Heer sniper recognized for 33 confirmed kills by the end of 1933. It consists of:
1. An award document for a 1939 Iron Cross II Class, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Pamann as a Gefreiter of 2. Kompanie, Infanterie-Regiment 431, issued at headquarters on 26 March 1942, featuring the handwritten signature of Generalleutnant Heinrich Meyer-Bürdorff (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 15 November 1941) in his capacity as commander of 131 Infanterie-Division, measuring 148 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
2. An award document for an Infantry Assault Badge, Silver Grade, constructed of off-white paper with black ink, named to Pamann as a Gefreiter of 2. Kompanie, Infanterie-Regiment 431, issued at headquarters on 29 March 1942, featuring the handwritten signature of Generalleutnant Heinrich Meyer-Bürdorff, measuring 150 mm (w) x 208 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
3. An award document for 1939 Iron Cross I Class, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Pamann as an Obergefreiter of 2. Kompanie, Grenadier-Regiment 431, issued at headquarters on 24 November 1943, featuring the handwritten signature of Generalleutnant Heinrich Meyer-Bürdorff, measuring 148 mm (w) x 210 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
4. An award document for a Close Combat Clasp, Bronze Grade, constructed of off-white paper stock with black ink, named to Pamannn as an Obergefreiter of 2. Kompanie, Grenadier-Regiment 431, issued for 15 days of close combat, issued at headquarters on 3 December 1943, featuring the handwritten signature of Generalleutnant Heinrich Meyer-Bürdorff, measuring 141 mm (w) x 200 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
5. A customized congratulatory card, constructed of off-white card stock with black ink, opening to reveal a detailed pen and ink illustration of a Heer sniper in position in a first, above am inscription of “IN DER ZEIT VOM: 3. 5. 43. - 13. 12. 43.” (“IN THE TIME FROM 3 MAY 1943 UNTIL 13 DECEMBER 1943”), with the opposite side bearing a dedication to Pamann as an Obergefreiter in recognition of achieving 33 kills in the field, featuring the handwritten signature of General der Infanterie Hans Jordan (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 5 June 1940; with Oak Leaves, 16 January 1942; and Swords, 20 April 1944), measuring 185 mm (w) x 220 mm (h), in extremely fine condition.
6. A signed postcard depiction U-Boat ace Fregattenkapitän Erich Topp (Knight’s Cross of the Iron Cross, 20 June 1941; with Oak Leaves, 11 April 1942; and Swords, 17 August 1942), in uniform and with the lower half bearing Topp’s handwritten signature in black ink, the reverse unused, measuring 90 mm (w) x 140 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
