Leicht-Kranken Kriegs-Lazaretts 551 (mot.) ): Iron Cross 2nd Class 1939 (silver frame, with iron core, magnetic, unmarked, 44 mm, original ribbon); War Merit Cross, 1st Class with Swords (zinc, maker marked "4" on the pin, 49.5 mm, vertical pinback); War Merit Cross, 2nd Class with Swords (bronzed tombac, 48.5 mm, original ribbon); East Medal (silvered and blackened zinc, 36 mm x 41 mm, original ribbon, bubbling); Croatia: Order of King Zvonimir, 3rd Class with Swords (two-piece construction, bronze gilt with white enamels, 41.2 mm x 41.7 mm, original triangular ribbon); SA Sports Badge, Bronze Grade, Type II (bronze, numbered "293211", marked "EIGENTUM D.S.A. SPORTABZ.-HAUPTSTELLE " and maker marked "E. SCHNEIDER LÜDENSCHEID" on the reverse, 45 mm x 57.3 mm, vertical pinback).

Wound Badge, Black Grade (blackened bronze, unmarked, 37 mm x 44.5 mm, vertical pinback); Croatian Volunteers "HRVATSKA" Arm Shield (red, white and black embroidery, on an Army green rayon base, 61 mm x 72 mm); Identification Tag (aluminum, obverse stamped "4.LECHTKR.KRGS. LAZ. / MOT 551 / 24 / A" on both sides of the triple slotted centre, three drill holes, 50.2 mm x 70 mm); and Medical Officer's "Hauptmann" Shoulder Board (four rows of gray embroidered and fine silvered aluminum wire wrapped around an off-white cord, wrapped in a u-shape, in a chevron formation, two gilt metal pips flanking a gilt metal snake and caduceus insignia, button hole with a gray pebbled button on a post for uniform attachment, blue wool sides and underside with matching strap, 36 mm x 102.5 mm, fabric interruptions and light soiling on the upper). Very fine.

Footnote: the group comes from a family in Germany, but without any supporting documents. This Croatian medical officer served alongside Croatian and German forces (thus the Croatian Volunteers "HRVATSKA" arm shield and the Order of King Zvonimir, 3rd Class with Swords).
