In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Stahlhelm M42). A well-preserved Heer M42 Stahlhelm, constructed of a single sheet of magnetic molybdenum steel which retains the majority of its original apple-green paint. Three rivets are distributed around the outer circumference of the shell for the accommodation of the interior fixtures, while the crown is flanked on each side by an integral vent. Below the right vent are the remnants of an indecipherable decal. The edge remains fully uncrimped in classic M42 confiscation. A magnetic metal ring surrounds the interior, fixed in position with the shell rivets, and retains an original light brown leather liner which culminates in eight fingers, each of which is perforated with five ventilation holes and an additional eyelet through which is looped a drawstring. Two magnetic metal loops descend from the sides for the inclusion of a two-piece blackened leather chinstrap which is adjusted with a functional magnetic metal buckle. Stamped onto the left side of the skirt is a code of “EF64”, indicating manufacture by Emaillierwerke A.G., Fulda, with a shell size of 64. Also stamped onto the back of the skirt is a partially-legible four-digit heat code. The helmet measures approximately 24 cm (w) x 29 cm (l) x 15 cm (h). Some issues consistent with age and field use are evident, and include minor and sporadic loss of paint resulting in negligible surface oxidation, as well as age-related fatigue to the leather. This late-war helmet remains in a better than very fine condition.
