In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Schiffchen M35 für Mannschaften der Infanterie). A well-preserved Heer Infantry EM/NCO’s M35 field cap, constructed of field-grey wool. It is fully surrounded by fold-down side walls which are scalloped toward the front. The crown is flanked on each side by ventilations holes which are reinforced with metal grommets. Stitched onto the peak is an insignia consisting of a dark green rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 65 mm (w) x 25 mm (h). Directly below the eagle, the front also bears a machine-embroidered tri-colour cockade situated on a field-grey rayon diamond, measuring 35 mm (w) x 35 mm (h). The cockade is surrounded by a white soutache which demonstrates careful restoration. A multi-piece olive-drab cotton liner encompasses the interior, and is plain with the exception of what appears to be handwritten integrated initials “JP”. The cap measures approximately 28.5 cm (l) x 10.5 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. In addition to soutache modification the cap demonstrates minor issues consistent with age and wear, including some fatigue to the base material, as well as soiling of the interior liner. This field-worn example remains in a better than very fine condition.
