In response to evolving domestic opinion, eMedals Inc has made the conscious decision to remove the presentation of German Third Reich historical artifacts from our online catalogue. For three decades, eMedals Inc has made an effort to preserve history in all its forms. As historians and researchers, we have managed sensitive articles and materials with the greatest of care and respect for their past and present social context. We acknowledge the growing sentiments put forth by the Canadian public and have taken proactive actions to address this opinion.

Description
Description
(Heer Tropen Schiffchen für Mannschaften). An interesting Heer EM/NCO’s tropical overseas cap, constructed of khaki-tan cotton with a gentle whipcord weave. It is surrounded by fold-down side walls, while an insignia has been hand-applied to the peak and consists of a dark green rayon backer bearing a machine-embroidered silver-grey Wehrmacht eagle clutching a wreathed mobile swastika, measuring 65 mm (w) x 30 mm (h). Beneath the eagle, the cap is stitched with a mis-matched Kriegsmarine tri-colour cockade, measuring 20 cm in diameter. The interior is fully encompassed by a multi-piece khaki-tan cotton liner which bears a number of illegible stamps, with a size mark of “55”. It measures approximately 28 cm (l) x 10.5 cm (h) when folded on a flat surface. Demonstrating minor soiling and fatigue, this unusual example, demonstrating the characteristics of French or other non-German manufacture and modified for use by Wehrmacht forces owing to wartime necessities, remains in a near extremely fine condition.
