2. A Wehrpaß, constructed of a field-grey card stock binding with 54 paginated interior pages filled with handwritten entries and retaining a black-and-white photo of Scheerer, measuring 105 mm (w) x 150 mm (h), notably retaining a photo of Scheerer speaking with a female civilian on the Eastern Front, in overall near extremely fine condition.
Footnote: Walter Scheerer was born on 29 August 1906 in Berlin. He became available for active military service in 1939 with Infanterie-Regiment 67, later transferring to Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon Altenburg (1941) before briefly serving with Gruppe Geheime Feldpolizei 729 (Secret Field Police, deployed to the Eastern Front), and concluding his recorded military service with Infanterie-Ersatz-Bataillon Altenburg.
